About Townsend Meadows

Townsend Meadows is located on Townsend Line at the northwest edge of Forest. This 55+ community has 50 units owned by residents on life leases. There are several floor plans with different size units. Occasionally units become available for resale. Some local seniors have chosen to live in Townsend Meadows. Others have moved here to take advantage of a rural lifestyle near Lake Huron.

Our clubhouse named Meadows Hall provides facilities for social and recreational activities for residents. It features a great room, kitchen, meeting room and library. Activities are organized by a resident social committee assisted by a resident hall committee. Residents are able to book the clubhouse for private gatherings such as family reunions, birthday parties, and bridal showers for a nominal fee. The Board office is located there.

About Forest

Forest is a small rural town within the Municipality of Lambton Shores in Lambton County. Residents enjoy quiet lifestyle with local access to grocery shopping and downtown services. The North Lambton Community Health Centre provides primary health care for seniors and health promotion programs for the community. There are recreational activities available with the Shores Recreation Centre, Forest Golf and Country Hotel, Forest Curling and Social Club, Forest Lawn Bowling Club and the Kineto Theatre. Local churches and organizations like the Kiwanis Club, Optimist Club, Probus Club of Forest and Forest Legion welcome new members.

About Lambton Shores

Lambton Shores is located along Lake Huron in the northeast corner of Lambton County. Ipperwash Beach, Pinery Provincial Park, Rock Glen Conservation Area and Grand Bend Beach are popular recreational areas. There are small craft breweries and wineries on local farms. The Lambton Heritage Museum provides insight into the history of the area. Kettle and Stony Point First Nation highlights Indigenous culture. The City of Sarnia to the south offers additional shopping, dining and entertainment options. The Bluewater Bridge from the 402 in Point Edward gives access to travel into Michigan and other U.S. destinations.
